Mr. Guthrie is a seasoned litigator with over 33 years of civil trial experience defending claims against individuals, large and small corporations, governmental agencies and insurance carriers in state and federal court. After serving as a law clerk in 1990 to the Honorable Carol Los Mansmann of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, Mr. Guthrie entered private practice where he has acquired more than three decades of extensive civil litigation experience.

Since 1990, Mr. Guthrie has successfully tried over 100 jury trials to verdict throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and he has argued cases before the Pennsylvania Superior Court and Supreme Court. Mr. Guthrie has authored Amicus Curiae briefs on behalf of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute and the Insurance Federation of Pennsylvania advocating legal positions of importance to the insurance industry and the business community.

Mr. Guthrie is a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County. He has a peer-review rating of AV-Pre-Eminent® by Martindale-Hubbell® and he has been designated as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer®.

Mr. Guthrie provides clients with thorough, meticulous and aggressive representation. He believes that careful preparation is the key to achieving successful outcomes for clients.
